SVFC Responds!
The Sterling Volunteer Fire Company responds in force on Cardinal Glen Circle! Good neighbor Craig Brown reports:
“I was in the basement doing hobby stuff and thought I heard some distant sirens out on Rt-7. Odie started to bark a few minutes later. After a bit I went upstairs and saw a big response: two tankers, an ambulance and a ladder truck. It was a suspected chimney fire, nothing showing. The SVFC did a thorough job and nothing was found. On the initial response the tanker closest to me had feeder hoses out and connected to the hydrant. Good job to be prepared; glad fire suppression was not needed! Good boy Odie!”
And that’s why good neighbors
donate to SVFC!
Sidewalks, Fireplugs Uncleared
There’s an on-going discussion of this on nextdoor.com.
48 Hours Are Up…
…at 9pm tonight, sidewalks, mailboxes and
fire hydrants must be cleared. per county ordnance…
Snowzilla 2016 wasn’t as bad as the blizzard of 2010…this year the state did a great job keeping our roads plowed:-)
Dog walkers _almost_ got it right:-}
It’s a sign of progress that our neighbors walking their dogs are bagging their dogs’ poop…something required by Loudoun County ordinance.

Unfortunately, they have only bagged it, leaving little black surprise packages littered on the streets & sidewalks:-P
We hope they will do their dooty;-) & dispose of their dogs’ waste properly.
