The new Sterling Recycling Center replaces the Sterling Park Community Recycling Center that closed permanently in September 2024 due to renovations at Park View High School, where the center was located.

Like Loudoun County’s other public recycling centers, the new Sterling Recycling Center will accept typical household quantities of glass and plastic bottles, cans, jugs, and jars, as well as cardboard and paper.

Loudoun County will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting next Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to formally mark the start of operations at the new facility.

Members of the public are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony at the new facility, which is located at 46279 West Juniper Avenue in Sterling.
