Instructions

  1. Please read these FAQs & Clarifications.
  2. Describe the proposed alteration or project for which approval is requested. Include the heights/dimensions, material, style, and color as applicable. Attach a picture/photo/URL of the EXACT style and color as applicable. Use of words such as ‘similar to’ will not invalidate the requirement for EXACT in the event of a deviation.
  3. Provide a drawing of the lot, indicating the house, street front, and positioning/site of the alteration or project as applicable. Please to upload files…
  4. A copy of the contractor work order is not required. The homeowner is responsible for ensuring the work performed does not deviate from what gets approved by the Architectural Control Committee.
  5. Discuss the project with at least two neighbors most affected by the project and obtain signature of approval from two of them.
  6. Submit the request to the HOA Board using one of the following options:

      Please be sure to send Certified with Return Receipt Requested, AND retain a copy of your application, supporting documentation, and proof of delivery,

IMPORTANT! PLEASE NOTE!

  1. Please read these FAQs & Clarifications.
  2. Virginia law requires at least 48 hour notice (excluding weekends and holidays) to “Miss Utility” at 1-800-552-7001 before digging anywhere so underground lines can be marked. This is a free service.
  3. Contact Loudoun County Office of Building and Development at 703-777-0220 to obtain information on electrical, plumbing, and/or building permits. These permits are required by law for certain projects and must be displayed and visible from the street until the work is completed.
  4. Any deviation specific to your project from what gets approved, in writing, by the Architectural Control Committee is at risk of restoration to the approved state at the homeowner’s expense.
  5. Work done prior to receiving written approval from the Architectural Control Committee is at risk of restoration to the original state at the homeowner’s expense.
  6. The HOA covenants allow 60 days after receipt of this application for approval or disapproval by the Architectural Control Committee. After this period, approval may be assumed; HOWEVER, you will be required to provide proof of application submission (inclusive of the application, any supporting documentation, AND the delivery receipt) in the event of a violation/exception.
